The Hearing Co. Video Tutorials
CIC Battery Video Tutorials
Every so often one of our amazing customers will send us an email asking about replacing ear domes, inserting their hearing aids, and other quick questions. So we decided to create a list of video tutorials to help you and our other customers get everything they expected and more out of our hearing aids :)
Replacing Ear Domes
While our hearing aids were in development, a big improvement we wanted to make was firmly mounted ear domes - we didn't want them coming off in people's ears! With that though, it's made them a bit tricky to get on and off.
So here's a quick video along with an explaination below
To remove the eardomes from your hearing aids, all you have to do is pinch the edge of them gently and then pull them away as shown in the video above.
To put a new eardome onto your hearing aids, please first fold it inside out, then insert the hearing aid into it at a slight angle. After your hearing aid is inserted firmly, flip the eardome right side in again.
Putting Your Hearing Aids In & Pulling Them Out
While these are our video tutorials, pictures show the insertion process much more clearly.
The first step (picture on the left) is to hold the hearing aid with your thumb at the bottom and your index finger at the back, right on the battery door.
Then, insert the hearing aid into your ear, moving your thumb out of the way once it's almost fully in and pushing the rest of the way (gently and stopping if anything hurts) with your index finger.
Once inserted, your hearing aids should look like the picture below with the pull wire and battery door facing downwards. To remove your hearing aids, simply pull on the pull wire!
Removing The Tape Off Your Batteries
Removing the tape off your A10 batteries is by far the easiest part of using our heairng aids! All you have to do is peel the tape off the bottom, and then let the bottom of the battery "air out" for 5 minutes! After that, it's all ready to use.
Inserting The Batteries Into Your Hearing Aids
When inserting the A10 batteries into your hearing aids, it's very important to take note of top and bottom of each A10 battery. The top has a black ring around it and the bottom is completely flat. Please see the picture below for reference!
Always make sure the top of your A10 battery is facing away from the magnetic side of your adjustment tool. When placing the battery into the battery door, please make sure the bottom of your A10 battery is facing upwards. The video we've placed above this picture shows that perfectly!
Removing The Batteries From Your Hearing Aids
To remove the A10 batteries from your hearing aids, all you have to do is open the battery door using our provided adjustment tool and then "scoop" the battery out using the magnetic end of the adjustment tool. Once you've done that, shut the battery door and you're good to go!
Adjusting The Volume On Your Hearing Aids
Our hearing aids let you adjust the amount of hearing support to exactly what you require, up to 80 dB. To do so, there's a dial on the back of each hearing aid which can easily be turned using the provided adjustment tool, which is shown below. When inserting your hearing aids for the first time, please make sure the volume is turned down to the lower end!
